Think Big Act Bigger(1 customer review)
The most dangerous move in business is the failure to make a move.
Challenging the idea that there’s a standard method, message, or road to success, global business celebrity and prime-time Bloomberg Television host, Jeffrey Hayzlett dares business owners to think big, act bigger, and be relentless.
Hayzlett inspires entrepreneurs to own who they are, define where they want to go, and fearlessly do what it takes to get there—caring less about conventional wisdom, breaking self-imposed limitations, and steamrolling obstacles on their way to becoming the biggest, boldest versions of themselves.
Imparting hard-earned lessons from his own business backstories, including his time as CMO of Kodak, and sharing examples of leaders featured on “The C-Suite with Jeffrey Hayzlett”, Hayzlett shares 10 core lessons business owners need to tie visions to actions, get ahead of the competition, and achieve dreams.
Interviews, insights and advice feature high-level business executives including LeVar Burton of Reading Rainbow, Gene Simmons of KISS, Daymond John of FUBU, and businesses such as Barefoot Wine, Lululemon, Cadillac, and Dunkin’ Donuts.
Hayzlett covers how to:
- Own your story and become a bigger, bolder version of you
- Lead by example and empower your team to focus on what matters, where things are going, and what you want to build
- Focus on the right business that makes the most revenue
- Achieve the next big thing by being a little pigheaded and irrational
- Steamroll obstacles and use the competition to get ahead
- Keep your brand, business, products, and people standing out from the rest

"A great motivational read to encourage anyone in their business or personal lives to OWN who they are and to make it work for them. So much can be said for being aggressive, both personally and professionally, and going after what you want, apologetically. Jeff's encouragement and advice are both inspiring and passion-driven. He talks about delegating tasks or areas to employees and then empowering them to make their own decisions within their field and these tasks. This resonates especially with me as a small business owner and always feeling like I need to do everything myself. Great read and highly recommend!"

"Jeffrey Hayzlett is always making me stretch myself further in business and push myself to think originally, both through his writing, his social media content, his talks and his friendship.
A key thing that I've learned from him, and that he talks about loud and clear in this book is, "Don't just accept what someone tells you, no matter how much more accomplished (or less) they may be." Dig deep to understand the concept and then apply it to your own unique self and circumstances. Or, to put it more succinctly... Be you, not me!
That's what his latest book, Think Big, Act Bigger is all about, and I highly recommend it. The lessons Jeffrey imparts here are told through stories and idioms that are distinctly his own, making the book and engaging, fun and easy read. But I found myself taking my time with it, simple to savor and digest what he was challenging me, the reader, to do."

"It’s true; the most dangerous move in business is the failure to make a move. If you do nothing you won’t progress and may fail; if you move you still may fail but at least you’ve tried – within reason therefore, it is good to “think big, act bigger”...If you take the time to read this book you will find a lot of things that you may secretly agree with, yet it might not be “acceptable” to highlight and amplify them. After all, everyone uncritically loves TED talks or what? Franchise trendy food stores are just doing a great job? A consistent, uniform product must be superior? ...If you let it, this book will give generously a mix of humour, insight, tragedy, shock and a mass of actionable information. It might not lead you by the nose to be a squillionaire, but it can help transform you in ways you had not considered where necessary, as well as the usual “boring business attributes” that are a given “good to improve if you can."
If what you’re currently doing would get you more of what you want, the more would have already showed up. This book will show you how to take the kind of bigger action that will finally produce the results you want. I highly recommend it!
